::LOVE MY POLAROID(S) OF THE WEEK - LA MORB CULTURE (THIBAULT TOURMENTE)::

In our long quest for Vanity future, the Polaroid dares everything, freedom not only due to the elimination of the intermediate (laboratory), but also because the snapshot itself is often seen as an image of "non-noble" People rejected by professionals who see an intermediate image and never definitive. - Thibault Tourmente.

For my first Polaroid of the Week post of 2013, I struggled to pick only ONE Polaroid from the inspiring work of French instant artist, Thibault Tourmente! As I find that all his ink/polaroid/collage compositions are carefully constructed little masterpieces! Tourmente is a self taught artist, worshipping the Polaroid format. His images are an intriguing mix that include unique Andy Warhol influences, mysterious muse trends, cabinets of curiosities, urban art, dada, fetishes and more! Tourmente completed a very successful solo exhibition, Death Republica - Polaroids And Other Dead Stuff at En Face in Paris last Spring. He is currently working on some new work. Click here for more of Tourmente's unique work.
