::LOVE VALERIE EVRARD::

Polaroid transfers by ©Valerie Evrard

Autumn (or Fall) has always been my favourite season of the year. The magical mix of colours, crispness in the air, falling leaves, crackling smells of fire, what is there not to love!? So when I came across these beautiful Polaroid transfers by Valerie Evrard, I couldn't help but fall instantly in love with them. Her soft focused images blend with autumnal pastel colours, beautifully finished off with delicate textures of watercolour papers. Valerie is passionate about Polaroid and adopts it as a medium for her personal work, a poetic universe between painting and photography. Click here and facebook page for more of her work.

::LOVE CAMERON WYCKOFF::

Feeling very inspired after discovering the work of Brooklyn, New York based artist Cameron Wyckoff. A wonderful mix of cinematography, 16mm films, Polaroid composites and clever emulsion lifts with collage elements under various expired Impossible Project films. View more projects on his website and for digital video reel visit the vimeo channel.

::LOVE SHE HIT PAUSE STUDIOS::

©She Hit Pause Studios/Matt Schwartz
My instant love for today is the beautiful dreamy prints of She Hit Pause Studios aka photographer Matt Schwartz. His nostalgic moments have been described as "walking into a dream." Captured by large format Polaroid 8x10 transfers on watercolour paper, the images have a wonderful washed out grainy texture to them. Founded in 2002, She Hit Pause Studios take their inspiration from the term "To take a picture is to hit pause on a moment forever." Schwartz has been capturing his winsome images of girls, surfing and travels for over 7 years and his work has appeared in many popular culture magazines, fashion, art and home décor blogs. Prints of his whimsical art are available unframed in a 16x20 matte format and framed editions come in a signature style barnwood weathered frame from the website. You can also follow the blogfacebook and twitter.

::LOVE MY POLAROID OF THE WEEK - BEN PARKS::

As part of the délires ii: alchimie du verbe series, 2009

Ben Parks is a photographer born and raised in Pasadena, CA, USA.

This week I have fallen in love with Ben Park's dreamy polaroid series délires ii: alchimie du verbe. Using vintage cameras and instants films, Ben explores the abstract process of his organic subjects by heavily manipulating the emulsions of instant film, creating something "more lyrical and sensuous". The end results are striking, with each polaroid carefully put together as an unique masterpiece, within it's own individual window. For more of Ben's work including landscapes, portraits and his new 35mm series visit the website, flickr Photostream and follow him on tumblr.
