[LOVE] PULP ART BOOK: VOLUME TWO

Pulp Art Book: Volume Two is the much anticipated second volume and companion to the LP-sized Pulp Art Book: Volume One. It's another breathtaking collection of psychedelic and spirituality themed images, building on the first with further homages to B Movies and Spaghetti Westerns, along with inspiring Poliziotteschi films. Mix that with new character introductions of Farrow, Patti and Tash (Heist series) with appearances from Pulp Art Book favourites Jackie, Mystic White Flight and Summerlovers. Brought to you by the talented Husband and Wife team, Neil Krug and Joni Harbeck with their vision of societal life in the 1960s and 1970s. Pulp Art Book: Volume Two is expected in June 2012 but is available for pre-order from the publisher Nazraeli Press. Also check out the special slideshow created by Honey Badger, the Pulp Art Book site for news, books and prints, like the facebook page.

[LOVE] MY POLAROID OF THE WEEK - NEIL KRUG

A wind off the ocean among a field of flowers on an island we will never disclose...
the air smelt of salt and warmth and summer.

I ♥ Indian Girl - One Picture Book By Joni Harbeck & Neil Krug

What can I say? Artist duo Neil Krug and Joni Harbeck have worked their magic again! Not content on having released the coffee table book of the year with Pulp Art Book. Their latest masterpiece is already here! The Indian Girl collection taps into the savage yet simple existence of a past Native woman living on, and protecting, the land of her people. With its blend of guns, beauty and ritual mixed with the Pulp Art Book's signature style of grainy expired polaroids. These photographs lay down a story that plays again and again in our society. Indian Girl was first introduced in Pulp Art Book: Volume One, published by Nazraeli Press earlier this year.

I ♥ Neil Krug's photography for the Horrors

This is the latest album cover artwork and photography by Neil krug Director & Photographer for the English band the Horrors new album ‘Skying’. His unique dreamy expired Polaroids with a psychedelic, vintage feel has had me *sigh* fall in love all over again! He has recently completed Polaroid artwork for the band Ladytron, about to release his new feature film called Invisible Pyramid starring Kalee Forsythe and Ainsley Burke. And if that wasn't enough in the can...there is two further books planned in the shape of 'American Road Movie' and Pulp Art Book the second volume. Phew!

I ♥ 70s Stylized Polaroid Collaboration with Neil Krug and Joni Harberg...

Everyday there is always somebody that inspires me! The latest is Neil Krug who recreates vintage photography in the present with the use of expired polaroids. Armed with his Polaroid land camera automatic 100, this Kansas based photographer shoots a variety of subjects including models, hippies, landscapes, and other personal works. Neil is a full time promo director who also had his hand on LadyTron’s “Tomorrow” video. There’s a great sense of both nostalgia and modern day cool that makes viewing Neil’s photos a trippy experience.
