[LOVE] WILLIAM MILLER'S RUINED POLAROIDS

CELESTE PRIZE 2011 WINNER, Photography & Digital Graphics Prize - 6,000 euro
William Miller, Ruined Polaroid #40

Photographs ©William Miller

Sometimes you just wish you came up with an amazing idea like William Miller's Ruined Polaroids! The abstract pictures were taken with an old broken Polaroid SX-70 camera rescued from a yard sale. William soon realised after the first use of the camera that it was spilling out two pictures at a time, the film often stuck in the gears, exposing and mangling the images in various exciting and unpredictable ways. He learned to control the camera's flaws and produced each picture as a nice surprise. William's Ruined Polaroid #40 was awarded the Photography & Digital Graphics Prize, at the Celeste Prize 2011 part of the online artists gallery, Celeste Network. Check out more of William's photography here.

I ♥ David Sankey - The Queerest Old Quaker

The latest creative to use Impossible film is New York-based graphic designer and musician David Sankey. His latest album was released on the 15th of last month under the name of The Queerest Old Quaker. With the album's artwork, the front cover image was taken with Impossible's PX 70 Color Shade film and an SX-70 Model 2. David loved the warmth and quality of the film which was a perfect compliment to his folk-ish style of music. You can purchase The Queerest Old Quaker and have a listen for yourself to the album sampler link below.

I ♥ the new Impossible PX 70 Color Shade for Polaroid SX 70 Cameras

This brand new version of PX 70 film is the latest and much improved Impossible material for your Polaroid SX 70 camera. The relatively high film speed (light sensitivity) of this material requires you to set the lighten/darken wheel or slider of your SX 70 camera to the darkest position for the best results. shop here for film
